x/2 = (y+3) /6

using cross products

6* x = 2 * (y+3)

distribute

6x = 2y+6

subtract  2y from each side

6x -2y = 6

we can simplify this by dividing each term by 2

3x - y = 3

this is the standard form of a line (Ax + By =C)

this is linear because x and y are only to the first power)

let's bear in mind that

standard form for a linear equation means

• all coefficients must be integers, no fractions

• only the constant on the right-hand-side

• all variables on the left-hand-side, sorted

• "x" must not have a negative coefficient

so, let's do away with the denominators by multiplying both sides by the LCD of all fractions, in this case 6.

\bf \cfrac{x}{2}=\cfrac{y+3}{6}\implies\stackrel{\textit{multiplying by }\stackrel{LCD}{6}}{6\left( \cfrac{x}{2} \right)=6\left( \cfrac{y+3}{6} \right)}\implies 3x=y+3\implies \stackrel{\textit{standard form}}{3x-y=3}

Ways to multiply 44 with prime numbers
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

2 x 2 x 11

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that prime factors are numbers that cannot be reduced anymore, and, when multiplied together, would equal the original number.

44/2 = 22/2 = 11

2 x 2 x 11 = 44 ∴ 2 , 2, 11 are your answers.

vampirchik [111]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain of a function is the set of values that satisfies the independent variable while the range of the function is the set of values that satisfies the dependent variable.

Since for each game, the amount of money that the Duke Blue Devils’ athletic program brings in as revenue is a function of the number of people in attendance, then the dependent variable is the amount of money while the independent variable is the number of people. The domain is between 0 and 9460 people. Therefore, the domain of this function is

0 ≤ x ≤ 9460

Where x represents number of people.

For the range, the lowest total sales is 0 × 45.5 = $0

The highest total sales is

9460 × 45.5 = $430430

The range is

0 ≤ y ≤ 430430

Where y represents total sales
