Explanation:

The main purpose of a persuasive speech is to convince the reader of a particular position you hold. In order to do so, you have to defend your position in many different ways. One way to do so is by highlighting the payoff that would come from following your advice. Another important part of the speech is the call to action, as this encourages the reader to act according to your arguments.
