What proved to be the major stumbling block for Germany in Russia?
Dafna11 [192]
You're talking about World War II, right? Well, yeah, at one point Germany attempted to invade the Soviet Union (specifically during the Battle of Stalingrad.) But a major stumbling block was the weather in the Soviet Union; it was fiercely cold and German soldiers were starving and sick. Eventually, it became so cold that the German military retreated and Hitler's plans for "world domination" officially ended.

Where was Democritus from?
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

Abdera, Greece

Explanation:

Democritus was said to be born in the city of Abdera in Thrace, an Ionian colony of Teos, although some called him a Milesian. He was born in the 80th Olympiad (460–457 BC) according to Apollodorus of Athens, and although Thrasyllus placed his birth in 470 BC, the later date is probably more likely.
