Question 5 ListenA ball is thrown straight upward from the surface of Earth. Which statement best describes the ball’s velocit
mars1129 [50]

Acceleration is non zero but the velocity is zero.

Answer: Option 2.

Explanation:

Acceleration is the speed that an object gains with in a short period of time. In the language of Mechanics, Acceleration is the change in the velocities of the objects with respect to the time. So when a ball is thrown up in the air, there will be some acceleration and there will be some speed that the ball will gain when thrown up.

Velocity is the speed of an object but in a particular direction. Velocity of an object is the rate of change of the position of the object with respect to the frame of reference of that frame. So the velocity of the ball up in the air is zero.

would you consider that the current activities of man today have an impact on the future of the Earth?Explain your answer
sergey [27]
Yes, things such as polluting the air with fossil fuels (not natural) and things like building factories or something as simple as throwing garbage in the oceans have a major affect. everything is like a butterfly effect, one small action can have a drastic outcome. people now a days are inventing numerous amounts of things and damaging our ecosystems. as the years go on and things like this keep happening, our world will start to get hit with those outcomes. right now we are experiencing them, with hot temperatures and less fish in the ocean and polar ice caps melting.
