An x-intercept is what x is equal to when y, or in this case q(x) is equal to 0. Lets set our equation up.
0=-2(x+3)^2 +8
-8=-2(x+3)^2
4=(x+3)^2
+-2=x+3
x=3+-2
x=1,x=5

Sofie claims to be a tasting expert. To test her abilities, someone bakes Sofie a cake using 3 of the following
Furkat [3]

Summing all the ingredients to get the total sample size, we applied the formula for obtaining the probability which is

Pr(3) = 0.5

Probability

Given Data

Sample Space

 • Coffee
 • Nutmeg
 • Vanilla
 • Cinnamon
 • Sea salt
 • Ginger

Total Sample size = 6

Probability of identifying 3 ingredient used is

Pr(3) = 3/6

Pr(3) = 1/2

Hence the Probability is 0.5

If a=2 and c=10 what does b equal ? ( Pythagorean Therom
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

b = \sqrt{96}

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2 is the Pythagorean theorem

if A = 2 and C = 10 then you get

2^2 + b^2 = 10^2

or 4 + b^2 = 100

b^2 = 96

b = square root of 96 or approximately 9.8

Gary applied the distributive property using the greatest common factor to determine the expression that is equivalent to 66 + 3
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

 Gary did not use the greatest common factor in the equation.

Step-by-step explanation:

The largest number on both factor lists (the GCF) is 6, not 3. The factoring should be ...

 66 + 36 = 6(11 +6)

Please I need answers for these two asap! Please explain your answer I will mark brainliest!!!
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

1.) Triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DCB

Step-by-step explanation:

For the first one, the first 3 steps proved that all 3 sides in the 2 triangles formed by the diagonal are congruent to each other, meaning triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DCB (I named it like that specifically because the way you name the triangles has to be the exact same way you named the other triangle).

For the second one, the congruency statement should be GL ≅ AD, because the HL congruence theorem states that if a hypotenuse and leg of one right triangle is congruent to the hypotenuse and leg of another right triangle, those triangles are congruent.
