Carl Rogers believed people question themselves and experience negative effects on their self-concept when they receive ________
Doss [256]

Answer: conditional positive regard

Explanation: Conditional Positive regard refers to an act whereby an individual receives warmth, acceptance etc when some certain standards and conditions are met. For example, a parent praises a child when they receive good grades in their exams and scold vehemently when they get bad grades.

Carl Rogers believed people question themselves and experience negative effects on their self-concept when they receive "conditional positive regards".

Actually Carl Rogers is an advocate for unconditional positive regard( acceptance and support of a person regardless of what the person says or does) and he believed that unconditional positive regard is essential for healthy development.

Low context communication can be described as a more __________ approach to sending a message
sweet [91]

Low context communication can be described as a more explicit and direct approach to sending a message.

Low-context communication is explicit and can hardly be inferred. The recipient may understand all the information, even if they are not familiar with the cultural background. Low-context communication is more common in individualist societies. Low-context communicators need to pay special attention to non-verbal messages and gestures, face savings and ingenuity, and building good relationships over time.

With low-context communication, connections can be established relatively quickly. People are expected to ask each other personal questions and be more open about their intentions.
