Answer:

A. Copyright

Explanation:

Copyright is a law that gives the owner of a work: a book, movie, picture, song or website or in this case an algorithm the sole right to say how other people can use it. Copyright laws make it easier and encourage authors to get creative and earn through their work. With this, the author's work can only be duplicated if he gives permission. In this case, Matthew would have his lawyer draw up his copyright to protect his algorithm and may then distribute and give permission for it's duplication or distribution.

The findings from a study looking at blood pressure changes over a 4-year window showed that negative social interactions increa
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

Negative interactions have a greater impact on women because they place more importance on social relationships than men.

Explanation:

This is the explanation that is consistent with these findings. In this study, we see that women ages 51-64 are greatly affected in terms of health if they have to deal with negative social interactions. However, this is not the case with men. A theory that is consistent with these findings would have to present an argument that fits the results of the experiment. A possible explanation of this situation is that negative interactions have a greater impact on women because they place more importance on social relationships than men.

______________ means when the cause is present, the effect occurs; and when the cause is not present, the effect does not occur.
Cloud [144]

The type of relationship where the cause must be present for the effect to occur is called the: cause-and-effect relationship.

What is a Cause-and-effect Relationship?

A cause-and-effect relationship can be defined as a relationship of two events in which one event, which is referred to as the "cause" makes another event, which is referred to as the "effect" to occur.

This means that, for one event to happen, the other event must happen. Invariably, if one event doesn't happen, the other cannot.

An example of cause-and-effect relationship is: the effect of crude oil spillage in water bodies on plants and animals.

The "cause" is: crude oil spillage on water bodies.

The "effect" is: the death of plants and animals in the aquatic bodies.

Thus, the type of relationship where the cause must be present for the effect to occur is called the: cause-and-effect relationship.
