So for multiplication with fractions, it's just multiplying numerators with numerators and denominators with denominators.

\frac{1}{18} *\frac{4}{5}=\frac{4}{90}

From here, it appears that the answer is 4/90, however it can be simplified by dividing both numerator and denominator by 2 as such:

\frac{4}{90}\div \frac{2}{2} =\frac{2}{45}

In short, the answer is 2/45, or C.

Write an equation for a line perpendicular to f(x)=5x−1 and passing through the point (5,20)
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

y - 20 = (-1/5)(x - 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of the given line is 5.  The slope of any line perpendicular to the given line is the negative reciprocal of the given slope:

Slope of perpendicular line here is -1/5.

We use the point-slope formula as a framework here:

y - 20 = (-1/5)(x - 5)

What constant term should be added to both sides to complete the square on the left side?
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

  • 9/64

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given</u>

  • x² - 3/4x + _____ = 10

Need to complete square on the left side of equation

<u>The square should be in the form of:</u>

  • (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

<u>We see a = x therefore </u>

  • 2b = -3/4, so
  • b = -3/8 and
  • b² = (-3/8)² = 9/64

So the missing constant term is 9/64

What is <br> 7w(-8 + 3w) and <br> 6q(-4 + 8q)
harina [27]

If you are looking to simplify these equations, here is how you would go about doing so.

7w(-8+3w)

Use a property called the Distributive Property, which means multiplying the number outside of the bracket by each number inside of the brackets.

Here is how this would look:

7w(-8+3w)

-56w+21w²

Now,

6q(-4+8q)

-24q+48q²

Hope this helps.
