The right answer is C-He favored the British:

The first attempt of  Alexander Hamilton during the conflict between Great Britain and France was in favor of the neutrality, but this attempt failed and he had to favor one side over another. By this time Britain was the largest trading partner with the US, and some resentments from the Revolutionary war were still part of the American reality.

The result was the Jay's Treaty, an agreement between the US and Britain to address remaining issues from the Revolutionary war and permitted peaceful trade between the two nations for 10 years.

Article II. Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom and independence, and every power, jurisdiction and right, which is not
Maslowich

Answer:

<em>The Social Contract principle states that man was naturally free, and lived without rules or order, but in order to protect their rights and properties government was created.</em> Under the Social Contract theory, government is only valid with the consent of people. This principle inspired the Founding Fathers and can be found under the Articles of Confederation and the Declaration of Independence.

<u>Thomas Jefferson reflected the Social Contract theory into the Declaration of Independence by stating that Britain's Crown had not fulfilled their duties as Government of the Colonies and that this was cause of separation. </u>(<em>"Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed"</em>).

The Articles of Confederation reflected the Social Contract theory by <em>maintaining the sovereignty of states (Article I) </em>and creating a union where each state gave consent to the central government to use its power. <em>The idea of Article II that nine states had to agree so that the central government could act, is also a reflection of the social contract. </em>

Why was the Line of Demarcation considered very unfair towards Portugal? Include in your answer the countries involved in this d
dangina [55]

The Line of Demarcation between Portugal and Spain was very unfair because Portugal got less land.

<h3>What was the line of demarcation?</h3>

This was an agreement that was signed between Spain and Portugal in order to forestall any conflict arising from either of them fighting for land in the New World.

The Line of Demarcation gave Portugal all the land to the East and gave Spain the land to the West. This was unfair to the Portuguese who ended up getting only Brazil while the Spanish got most of South America and the gold and wealth that came with it.
