In the case of The Odyssey, the females characters we encounter are either human, or supernatural (goddesses, nymphs, witches, etc.) These share some characteristics, though they are also different in various ways. In terms of human women, the most prominent one is Penelope. Penelope is Odysseus's wife, and she is extremely honest and loyal to her husband. She is also clever. In terms of superatural characters, we find women such as Athena, Circe and Calypso. These are women who are strong and powerful. They know what they want, and the power they have, and they use it over Odysseus.

In terms of Orpheus and Eurydice, the main female character is that of Eurydice. The myth focuses a lot more on Orpheus than his wife, which means that we do not know much about this character. However, we do know that she was a good woman according to Greek values, and that she was extremely in love with Orpheus.

Elenna [48]

Answer:From past earthquakes, multi-story buildings with weak and/or open front wall lines creating a “soft-story” (i.e. buildings with tuck-under-parking) performed poorly and collapsed. The goal of the mandatory retrofit program, under Ordinance 183893 and Ordinance 184081, is to reduce structural deficiencies by the most economical and feasible method. Without proper strengthening, these vulnerable buildings may be subjected to structural failure during and/or after an earthquake.

Buildings that are most vulnerable have been identified with the following criteria:

Consist of 2 or more stories wood frame construction

Built under building code standards enacted before January 1, 1978

Contains ground floor parking or other similar open floor space

The program does not apply to residential buildings with 3 or less units.

DaniilM [7]

Answer:

My best interpretation of the quote would be that someone is deliberately misinterpreting someone else and twisting their words and meaning.

From the quote, "...a false impression of wisdom, that does not represent the argument of the author", it is quite clear that a person is deliberately acting unaware of the meaning of the words of a person or twisting the words and meanings.
