Answer:

D. Magicians entertain people with magic tricks.

Explanation: The answer is D because, in those 3 points:

A.) Magicians sometimes make objects disappear, this only covers the first point.

B.) Yes, becoming a magician takes a lot of practice, but nowhere in the points does that relate to training and practice.

C.) Magicians can guess what others are thinking (this does not go with any of the points)

D.) This is correct because all of those points use words like amaze and enjoy. Answer D specifically states that Magicians ENTERTAIN.

Which sentence correctly uses an MLA in-text citation?
Helen [10]

Answer:

The sentence that correctly uses an MLA in-text citation is the following one: According to fish biologist Sarah Myers, a single carp can spawn over a million babies (145). (D)

Explanation:

In MLA style, you refer to the works of others by using what is known as parenthetical citation. That is, you should include all the relevant information regarding the source in parentheses. What is more, MLA format follows the author-page method of in-text citation: The author's last name and the page number(s) from which the quotation or paraphrase is taken must appear in the text, and then a complete reference should appear on your Works Cited page. The name of the author might appear either in the sentence or in parentheses following the quotation or paraphrase, but the page number(s) should always appear in the parentheses, not in the text of your sentence.

How does King use structure to help his argument in his letter from Birmingham Jail?
ziro4ka [17]
King structures his letter in points by addressing each concern or statement in the letter that was sent to him. He speaks of why he is in Birmingham and the information behind the cause that has led to him being jailed in Birmingham. Kings structure helps him make the argument that nonviolent methods of protest and work towards equality in a nation ( for colored people) is a freedom that isn't harmful but instead a constitution right.
