oung children working endured some of the harshest conditions. Workdays would often be 10 to 14 hours with minimal breaks during the shift.  Factories employing children were often very dangerous places leading to injuries and even deaths.  Machinery often ran so quickly that little fingers, arms and legs could easily get caught. Beyond the equipment, the environment was a threat to children as well as factories put out fumes and toxins.  When inhaled by children these most certainly could result in illness, chronic conditions or disease.

Children working in rural areas were not faring much better. Harvesting crops in extreme temperatures for long hours was considered normal for these children. Work in agriculture was typically less regulated than factory duties. Farm work was often not considered dangerous or extraneous for children, even though they carried their weight and more in loads of produce and handled dangerous tools.

Tatiana [17]

This comes from the Declaration of Independence. It really is a summary of the outcome of the Magna Carta, the document in which King John agreed (a bit unwillingly) to get the consent of the nobility before imposing questionable taxes needed because King John fought unnecessary wars in the opinion of the barons. They were the ones who were going to fight the wars AND collect the taxes. Jefferson was merely restating the rights of those governed. As it turned out, he moved the Magna Carta into the American Constitution.

C. TENTS MADE OF ANIMAL HIDES.

I chose this because you have to consider all things involved. If you found a small clay pot that could tell you that they were into pottery, not hunting. B. cave drawings of animals could tell you that they where hunters, but it could also mean that they were artists, either way, it's not certain that they could be hunters. C. tents made of animal hides: let's consider this . . . how would they get the hides to make the tents if they weren't hunters? D. small rock hearth I don't even know what a heart is, so I automatically scratched this answer out. So we're left with C as our only logical answer.
