Answer:

a. This is a civil case, Because Finkle has not stolen the money from Baron, it can be assumed that Finkle has lost the money, so he needed time to saved up the money and return it to Baron.

Baron will be the plaintiff, while Finkle will be the defendant.

b. This is a civil case and also a criminal case, because Martin has broke the law of proximity cause in the principles of insurance, in order to extort money from the company, in which punishment can be either fine payment or jail.

The insurance company will be the plaintiff, Martin will be the defendant.

c. This is a civil case, because it is a bridge of agreement, which can be settled with payment of fines.

DATA will be the plaintiff, DISK will be the defendant, because DISK has allowed Reese to produce this design for them.

d. This is a criminal case, because Bates has committed murder, which is offensive to the society, it is also a civil case, because he has to pay a fine for the well being of the little children.

A prosecutor will be the plaintiff, while Bates will be the defendant.

e. This is a civil case, because Rosemond corporation has broke the law, which affects the people living around.

A law enforcement agent, or the parents of the children will be the plaintiff, while Rosemond will be the defendant.

g ___ would help prevent the creation of leachate. ___________ would help prevent the creation of leachate. Adding water to soli
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

Geotextile would help prevent the creation of leachate. Using a single-liner system rather than a double-liner system would help prevent the creation of leachate.

Explanation:

Landfill liners must have several layers, including a one of soil, then a geotextile (a synthetic permeable membrane) layer that lets water through but filters out any small pieces of trash, a leachate (water) collection system, a plastic liner layer in order to prevent leachate from reaching the groundwater, and to prevent leachate from polluting the underlining groundwater.

The generation of leachate is caused principally by precipitation percolating through waste deposited in a landfill. Once in contact with decomposing solid waste, the percolating water becomes contaminated, and if it then flows out of the waste material it is termed leachate.

Therefore, there are many methods of leachate treatment such as: Aerobic Biological Treatment such as aerated lagoons and activated sludge. Anaerobic Biological Treatment such as anaerobic lagoons, reactors. Physiochemical treatement such as air stripping, pH adjustment, chemical precipitation, oxidation, and reduction.

g _______________ are extraneous variables that may influence the results of the study, but are not directly measured by the stu
Vesna [10]

Answer:

Confounds; control

Explanation:

Given that CONFOUNDS are forms of Extraneous variables, though, they affect variables that are not related. Also, since CONFOUNDS are not independent variables, researchers or experimenters CONTROL other variables that are not independent, while they MANIPULATE independent variables.

Hence, CONFOUNDS are extraneous variables that may influence the results of the study but are not directly measured by the study. Experimenters must CONTROL these variables to be more confident that the results of the experiment are due to the manipulation of the independent variable and not some other variable.

Cognitive dissonance theory: This theory refers to a situation that involves a clash in the beliefs, attitudes, and behavior of an individual.

If there is any inconsistency that occurs in the behavior and attitude of a person then cognitive dissonance occurs. And to remove dissonance, the attitude and behavior of a person must be similar.
