Measurements of weight can be converted quite easily! However, you may need some extra information if you are converting from things like pounds to kilograms.

For conversions like pounds to kilograms, you will need a conversion factor. Most of the time, a quick Google search will find you this factor. For example with pounds and kilograms, 2.205 pounds is equal to 1 kilogram. To find the number of kilograms in a pound, you would divide the number of pounds by 2.205. To find the number of pounds in a kilogram, you would multiply the number of kilograms by 2.205.

For other conversions, like kilograms to grams, you would need to remember your prefixes. For example, kilo means 1000. Grams is the single unit, so that means 1000 grams is equal to 1 kilogram. To find the number of grams in a kilogram, you would multiply the number of kilograms by 1000. To find the number of kilograms in a number of grams, you would divide the number of grams by 1000.

Hope this helps!! :)

Compare how you would make a model and note how to find the sum and difference of two stones weighing 2/8 pounds and 3/8 pounds
OverLord2011 [107]
You would subtract 3/8-2/8, which equals 1/8. For drawing a model draw fraction strips to help.

given the midpoint of segment KL is M (1, -1) and L (8 ,-7) what are the coordinates of the other endpoint K
andrey2020 [161]

The answer is (-6, 5) for K.

In order to find this, we must first note that to find a midpoint we need to take the average of the endpoints. To do this we add them together and then divide by 2. So, using that, we can write a formula and solve for each part of the k coordinates. We'll start with just x values.

(Kx + Lx)/2 = Mx

(Kx + 8)/2 = 1

Kx + 8 = 2

Kx = -6

And now we do the same thing for y values

(Ky + Ly)/2 = My

(Ky + -7)/2 = -1

Ky + -7 = -2

Ky = 5

This gives us the final point of (-6, 5)
