The slippery roads are very dangerous, which can easily be seen in how much accidents happen when this is the case. The main reason is that the stopping distance of the vehicles vastly increases if the road is slippery. Be it water, snow, or ice on the road, they all contribute to lesser friction between the tires and the surface, so even though the breaks do their job, the tire continues to move on the surface and it needs much more distance to stop. This results in numerous accidents unfortunately, some of which fatal.
