Whats the rate of change in y=1.5x

<span>"Rate of change" is how much one variable changes when the other changes. In linear equations this is know as "slope" (since slope equals the change in Y relative to the change in X). Next remember that any linear equation can be written in the form: y = mx + b, where m = slope and b = y-intercept (place where line crosses the y-axis). Therefore to figure out rate of change (or slope) of a linear equation simply rewrite the equation in the y = mx + b form. In your case, the equation is already written that way. y = 1.5x (note that in this case b = 0) So in this formula m = 1.5. The rate of change is equal to 1.5. Another way this could be said is that when x increases by one unit, y will increase by 1.5 units. Plugging in any set of numbers will show this is true: If X = 1; Y = 1.5 If X = 2; Y = 3 (X increases by 1; Y increases by 1.5) If X = 3; Y = 4.5 (Again X increase by 1; Y increase by 1.5) ...</span>

BE and CD are parallel, so the triangles ABE and ACD are similar. Then the following relation holds:

AE/AD = AB/AC

10/(10 + 8) = x/(x + 6)

Solve for x :

10 (x + 6) = x (10 + 8)

10x + 60 = 18x

8x = 60

x = 60/8 = 7/5

Which of the following is an equation of a line perpendicular to the equation
TEA [102]
I believe it would be c
This is because when you have to find a line that is perpendicular you have to flip the nominator and denominator and then change the sign so if it’s negative switch it to positive

I hope that makes sense and I hope it is right

Rent all

55.5/3 = 18.5

74/4 = 18.5

it costs 18.5 per day

1.     y = 18.5 x      where y =cost and x=days

A-1

10.99 per 1/2 day

10.99 * 2 =21.98 per day

2.  it costs 21.98 per day from A-1

Rentall is the better deal because it is only 18.50 per day versus 21.98 per day

Lapatulllka [165]
If the cherry pie was cut into 6 equal slices, and only 3 slices are eaten that would leave a half(1/2)

if the pumpkin pirate was cut into 12 equal.slices and only 6 slices were eaten that would again, leave half of it left. (1/2)

the answer is they ate the same amount of pie, since half was eaten and left on each pie

hope this helps~~♡♡Chyna
