1) In the not-so-distant future, the government manages every family’s bank account. (2) When a family goes over they’re spendin

g limit, they have to work out an arrangement to pay down their debt. (3) That's why 13-year-old Matt suddenly finds himself in an workhouse for kids. (4) He'll stay at the workhouse, until he earns enough money to help his parents get back under the limit.
(5) At first the workhouse seems like a nice place, even though no one is allowed to leave. (6) Matt is a genius with math and computers so he gets placed in a special unit. (7) In this unit, there’s a pool, a game room, and all the pizza and Chinese food a kid could ever want. (8) However, Matt begins to suspect that terrible things are happening to other kids in the workhouse, and he decides to use his hacking skills to investigate. (9) As he gets closer to the truth, he learns that the workhouse is much more sinister than it seems, and there's a good chance he'll be forced to stay there forever. (10) Can Matt get the truth out before he is silenced for good? (11) This gripping dystopian tale of cruelty and corruption is action-packed from start too finish.
