Explanation:

When an overall impression of a person creates an influence upon our thinking towards that person, then his this impression also influence our evaluations towards him. For example, if he is nice(overall impression), then we assume that he is smarter too(evaluation about his personality).

We use this effect in product or service as well. If we like a product due to its overall good impression of usage, then we also assume that it is good for other purposes as well. For example, if we like a cell phone due to its brand and usage flexibility, then we also evaluate that this phone will also produce the best quality photos and videos.

In simple words, we can say, if we like something, we like every aspect of that thing regardless of the true picture of that thing.
