How does the U.S. Department of Agriculture use GIS in a best practice scenario?
bija089 [108]

GIS can analyze soil data combined with historical farming practices to determine what are the best crops to plant, where they should go, and how to maintain soil nutrition levels to best benefit the plants.

Agricultural Geographic Information Systems (AGIS) can map not only topography and crop health, but help solve wider economic issues in municipalities and urban centers that may stem from rural farming practices. Farmers in the States are able to access the GIS data on their lands; a program called CropScape and another called VegScape allows farmers to interact with the data without having a GIS themselves

Snowcat [4.5K]
They united them under the same religion. The Abbasid Caliphate was based around Islamic beliefs and they were joined by various Arab tribes and nations because they all shared the same beliefs. It is no wonder that it was called the period of the Golden Age of Islam. The period ended when Mongols and Turks took much of their land and weakened them.
