Answer:

See explanation below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Having students in the classroom who are at different levels of knowledge, interest, and ability can be managed by differentiated instruction. This method is a way of thinking that provides a framework where the instructor can set students with learning tasks that are at levels appropriate with the abilities and interests of each student. Each student can have a different type of class and different type of instruction with the differentiated instruction way of thinking.

A gifted and talented student might be assigned a higher math course, perhaps based on a math assessment for advanced placement. Then students that need to stay on the typical high school path of Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry can do that.

Gifted students might take an alternate path with honors classes or trajectories involving Pre-Calculus or advanced placement Calculus, for example. In some instances, universities have allowed High School students to obtain college credit for some courses taken during High School.

Hope this helps! Have an Awesome Day!! :-)

The hypotenuse of a right triangle is 13.0, and one leg is 9.0 units shorter than the other. Find the dimensions of the figure (
Darina [25.2K]
Let, one leg be x units.
since the other leg is 9.0 units shorter than the other,
the measure of the other leg =x-9
hypotenuse =13.0 units
According to Pythagorean theorem, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides.
x^2 +(x-9)^2 =13^2
x^2 + x^2 -18x +81 = 169
2x^2-18x-88=0
Divide the whole equation by 2
x^2 - 9x -44 =0
Let's use the quadratic formula to find the roots.
formula: x= [-b ± sqrt(b^2-4*a*c)]/2*a
a=1 b=-9 c=-44
x= [9±sqrt(81+176)]/2
 =[9±sqrt(257)]/2
 =[9±16.03]/2
 =25.03/2 or -7.03/2
 length of a triangle cannot be negative,
 Therefore, x=25.03/2 =12.52
 one leg =12.5 units
 other leg =12.52-9 =3.5 units

Answer:

<em>Answer is</em><em> </em><em>given</em><em> </em><em>below with explanations</em><em>. </em>

Step-by-step explanation:

given \:  \: l = 5x - y \: and \: \:  b = x + 4y \\ area \: of \: rectangle \:= l \times b \: sq.units \\  = (5x - y)(x + 4y) \\  = 5 {x}^{2}  + 20xy - xy - 4 {y}^{2}  \\  = 5 {x}^{2}  + 19xy - 4 {y}^{2}  \\ perimeter \: of \: rectangle \\  = 2(l + b) \\  = 2(5x - y + x + 4y) \\  = 2(6x + 3y) \\  = 12x + 6y

4 more than one third of a number n is 6. An equation is? The solution is n =?
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

 \frac{1}{3}n  + 4  = 6

6

Step-by-step explanation:

Given problem:

      4 more than one third of a number n is 6

Unknown:

The equation = ?

Solution of the number  = ?

Solution:

 let the number  = n

So, 4 more than one third of a number;

  One third of n = \frac{1}{3}n

  4 more;

                \frac{1}{3}n  + 4

   is 6;

             \frac{1}{3}n  + 4  = 6   (equation of the expression)

Let us now solve the equation:

                         \frac{1}{3}n  + 4  = 6

                    \frac{1}{3}n = 6 - 4

                   \frac{1}{3}n = 2

                     n = 6
