The Constitutional Convention was the meeting in which the elected officials of the US would create a new constitution for the United States. This constitution would replace the Articles of Confederation. One of the changes that states with a larger population wanted was having more representatives based on population. Smaller states did not like this idea, as it would mean they would have less power and influence when making national laws.
