omg i love this book so much, so the ghettos in world war 2 where old run down neighborhoods that where bombed in the beginning of the war so the Nazis decided that Germans/ Aryans where too good to live their so they rounded up Jews, Poles, and lots of other ethnicities they didn't like and shoved them all into these rundown bombed neighborhoods that they had built inescapable walls around. the ghettos were prisons, unsanitary, crowded, and often the people inside where starved to or almost to death.
