Answer:

The investment after 28 years is worth $131,200

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello, great question. These types are questions are the beginning steps for learning more advanced Algebraic Equations.

Since the investment doubles in value every 7 years and were are asked the value after 28 years, then we first need to calculate how many times 7 years pass in 28 years. We do this by dividing 28 by 7 like so.....

\frac{28}{7} = 4

As we can see the investment will double 4 times. Since it is "Doubling" we can solve this by either multiplying $8,200 by 2 , and then multiplying the answer of that by 2, and so on 4 times. Fortunately, a much easier way would be to raise 2 to the power of 4 and multiply that by $8,200 like so......

8,200 * 2^{4} = x

8,200 * 16 = x

131,200 = x

Finally we can see that the investment after 28 years is worth $131,200

I hope this answered your question. If you have any more questions feel free to ask away at Brainly.

How to Find the area of this figure
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

370.97 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Break up this figure into a half circle and a trapezoid.

The radius of the half circle is half the diameter, or half of 14 cm, or 7 cm.

The area of this half circle is then A = (1/2)πr², which here is:

A = (1/2)π(7 cm)² = 76.97 cm².

The trapezoid has a width of 14 cm and two legs of length 24 and 18 cm respectively.

The area of this trapez. is (average of the leg lengths)(width), or

A = (24 + 18) /2 times 14 (all in cm), or:

A = (21 cm)(14 cm) = 294 cm²

and so the area of the entire figure is the sum of the two areas found above:

294 cm² + 76.97 cm² = 370.97 cm²

Find the measure of the missing angles in the kite
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

x = y = 104°

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of the interior angles = 360°

The opposite angles x and y are congruent , that is y = x , then

92 + 60 + x + x = 360

152 + 2x = 360 ( subtract 152 from both sides )

2x = 208 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 104

Then

x = y = 104°

Angela can paint 3 sections in 25 minutes.
natima [27]
