Do you think the advantages of paying tribute to the Barbary pirates outweight the disadvantages

History

Answer:

Yes.

Explanation:

Compared to the maritime power of a kingdom, the power held by the pirates at that time was relatively strong.

If the traders who want to pass want to ensure the safety of their goods, they need to hire a group of mercenaries to accompany them.

The cost of mercenaries could even be higher compared to the tribute required by the Pirates.

Hope this helps, and it's not too late :D

What is the longest war in history?
agasfer [191]
Although this isn't quite confirmed, it is considered that Germanic wars are the longest-lasting wars in history. They lasted for 800 years, starting from 220 BCE until 580 AD, and were fought between Romans and various Germanic tribes. However, if you need a war in the newer history, the second longest war is known as Reconquista, which is a war fought between Christian Kingdoms and the Muslim Moors, and lasted for about 770 years.

what penalty did children of russian nobles face if they did not learn mathematics? (in a paragraph)
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

If a child of a Russian noble didn't learn mathematics, that child was not allowed to marry. The Great Sovereign at that time, Peter I, decreed in 1699 that the New Year's celebration switch to January 1 from September 1. He also decreed that children between 10 and 15 had to learn mathematics in order to get married. This didn't apply to children of freeholders and government clerks. After children mastered math, they were given marriage certificates written in their own handwriting. If they didn't master the subject, they weren't allowed to be given these certificates, and thus, couldn't marry.
