Those who are loyal to the president have been appointed as civil servants and it had led to the corruption in the federal government system.

Andrew Jackson was elected as president in March 1829, he tried a method of hiring federal workers and that system is called spoils system. In this system the appointment of civil servants and the federal workers are done on the basis of loyalty.

The Andrew Jackson is of the view that the system will enhance the performance of the federal government and remove the political opponents from the federal offices.

But on the other it had led to mass corruption in the federal system and people who are working in the government done jobs for personal gains.
