The main similarities between them are that they are two brave, intelligent and adventurous characters, who strive to achieve their goals.

About the differences, we can start talking about their ages Jim is just a boy, inexperienced and who doesn't know much about the world. Silver is an adult man who has been through many things and carries many experiences with him. In addition, Jim is described as a kind, charitable and honest character, Silver, on the other hand, is a cheating pirate who spares no effort to get what he wants.

Answer: B) The conversation imitates conversations in real life.

Explanation: In literature, realism is a movement that started in France in the nineteenth century, and the authors of the movement tried to represent the everyday-situations as they were (like relationships, or familie issues), without making them more beautiful or using fantastic elements. In this case, the excerpt is an example of realism because it imitates a real conversation between a married couple.

Answer:

D. Unemotional

Explanation:

Although the statements the narrator is making may evoke emotions within the reader and make them feel as if human race were in danger as they may realize that they are being watched by "minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic", and who represent a threat to human's society as they " regarded this earth with envious eyes", the narrator expresses the idea in a very neutral and unemotional way. There is no sign in the text that he or she is angry, panicked nor mysterious (he or she is giving many details).

Select the phrase from the drop-down menu to correctly define the word Frugivores in the sentence.
kodGreya [7K]
A and B are both good answer but B makes more since because in the sentence it says Frugivores live near their food so they don’t have to fly far, also Frugivores eat bananas from trees and berries so (B) is the answer.
