9. The ration of x to y is always the same. So, the ratio of how much Steven charges to time spent babysitting is always the same.

10. The constant rate of change is 6.25 dollars per every hour. (Im pretty sure that’s what rate of change is - if that doesn’t sound familiar tell me and I’ll fix it)

11. y(6.25) = x
Y is the time spent babysitting.
X is the money he will charge at the end.
6.25 is his hourly charge. (you can find that number simply by diving 50/8 OR 31.25/5)

12. Steven would charge $18.75 for three hours. (You get that by multiplying $6.25 by three hours)

Hope that helped! :)

If p-1/p = 4 Find (p+1/p)²
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{p - 1}{p} = 4

Solve for p.

The numerator. difference has to be 4 times the answer of the denomiator.

So we can say

p - 1 = 4p

Solve for p

- 1 = 3p

p =  -  \frac{1}{3}

Now plug this in for the other formula.

( \frac{ - \frac{1}{3} +1}{ \frac{1}{3} } ) {}^{2} = 2 {}^{2} = 4
