Quadrilateral ABCD is located at A(−2, 2), B(−2, 4), C(2, 4), and D(2, 2). The quadrilateral is then transformed using the rule

(x + 2, y − 3) to form the image A'B'C'D'. What are the new coordinates of A', B', C', and D'? Describe what characteristics you would find if the corresponding vertices were connected with line segments.

Answer:

The figure is shifted 2 units right and 3 units down. The vertices of image are A'(0,-1), B'(0,1), C'(4,1) and D'(4,-1).

Step-by-step explanation:

The coordinates of quadrilateral ABCD is A(−2, 2), B(−2, 4), C(2, 4), and D(2, 2).

The quadrilateral is transformed by using the rule

(x,y)\rigtharrow (x+2,y-3)

The coordinate of vertices of A'B'C'D' are

A(-2,2)\rightarrow A'(-2+2,2-3)\rightarrow A'(0,-1)

B(-2,4)\rightarrow B'(-2+2,4-3)\rightarrow B'(0,1)

C(2,4)\rightarrow C'(2+2,4-3)\rightarrow C'(4,1)

D(2,2)\rightarrow D'(2+2,2-3)\rightarrow D'(4,-1)

The figure is shifted 2 units right and 3 units down. The vertices of image are A'(0,-1), B'(0,1), C'(4,1) and D'(4,-1).

Answer: 38

Step-by-step explanation: to evaluate an expression for these variables, plug in those numbers for the variables.

Plugging in -1 for y and -19 for z gets you this:

-2(-1)^2(-19)

Now simplify according to order of operations (PEMDAS - parenthesis exponents multiplication/division addition/subtraction)

-1^2 = 1

-2(1) = -2

-2(-19) = 38

Your answer is 38

A cylindrical soup can has a radius of 1.8 in. and is 6.7 in. tall. Find the volume of the can.
avanturin [10]

Initial considerations

 • radius = 1.8 in
 • tall = 6.7 in
 • Volume?

Resolution

Volume = base area x tall

base area = π x (1.8in)²

base area = 10.179 in²

Volume = 10.179 in² x 6.7 in

Volume = 68.198 in³

Answer

the volume is 68.198 in³

Can Someone explain how to do this?
zheka24 [161]
1 equals 2. So 2 would be 50 as well.
50+50=100
And there's 360 degrees in total so you'd then subtract 360-100= 260
Then divide by 2 since the other 2 angles are the same
260/2=130
1=50
2=130
3=130
Hope this makes sense! :)
