Yes, they can. Rational numbers are also decimals (for example) so we can put an infinite amount of numbers between any 2 values, for example:

1,1
1,11
1,111
1,1111
2
5,328
5,3281
5,3282
50
90,01
90,011

etc.

A 14-foot ladder is leaning against a building as shown. It touches a point 11 feet up on a building. How far away from the base
Luden [163]
We can assume that the point the ladder creates with the ground and building is a triangle. You can use the Pythagorean theorem to solve this.

A^2 + B^2 = C^2

The ladder is C, and the building can act as A or B, so for the purpose of this explanation, I’ll make it A.

11^2 + B^2 = 14^2
Figure out the squares

121 + B^2 = 196
Subtract 121 from both sides

B^2 = 75
Square root B^2 and 75

B = 5 root3

Whats the slope of (4,-1) and (-1,4)
Harman [31]

Answer:

<h2>The slope m = -1</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We have the points (4, -1) and (-1, 4). Substitute:

m=\dfrac{-1-4}{4-(-1)}=\dfrac{-5}{5}=-1
