A student designs an experiment to test substances X, Y, and Z, to determine which one is a catalyst for the reaction: A + B ® C

. Only one of the unknown substances is a catalyst, and the others are nonreactive with A, B, or C. When 10 mL of A is added to 10 mL of B, the reaction takes twenty seconds. Bubbles form when the product C is created. The student prepares three test tubes, each containing both reactants A and B. She adds unknowns X, Y, and Z to test tubes 1, 2, and 3, respectively. She then times the reaction in each test tube from the point when the unknown is added until bubbling stops. How can the student identify the catalyst?

The way that the student can identify the catalyst is by finding out the test tube that stop bubbling first
The catalyst that added will speed up the reaction and will speed up the bubbling process

hope this helps

Thank you for posting your question here. Below are the choices:

The test tube that stops bubbling first contains the catalyst.
The test tube that produces the most bubbles contains the catalyst.
The test tube that bubbles the longest contains the catalyst.
<span>The test tube that does not bubble contains the catalyst.
</span>
The answer is "<span>The test tube that stops bubbling first contains the catalyst."</span>

Do you think that the number of birds that are killed by wind turbines each year is acceptable? Why or why not? State your opini
Vanyuwa [196]

Answer:

One of the most commonly repeated criticisms of wind power is that it kills birds. The giant spinning turbines are basically bird death traps—and often they cut through prime flying space, making the carnage even worse. At least that's the story. But how many birds really do die?

If you look around for statistics about bird deaths from wind turbines get you wildly different numbers. Some say just 10,000 birds a year
