Electron transport system (ETS) is a set of reactions that is the primary route of ATP production in the cell.

Explanation;

-Cellular respiration is the process used by both plants and animals cellular respiration to break down glucose for the production of ATP.

-The process contains three stages, namely; glycolysis, citric acid cycle and electron transport chain. During the electron transport chain the electrons are transferred from the electron carriers from glycolysis and citric acid cycle to electron acceptors, which is coupled by generation of energy in the form of ATP. Oxygen is the last electron acceptor, which combines with protons to form water.
