Here, speed has increased by double to it's original value. 
p = m*v
As they are directly proportional, momentum will also increase by it's double value.

Please put that in"Physics" section not in "History".

Irish American favor neutrality because they  had a long-standing hostility toward Britain. If they take sides,  they would have entered on the side of the British, and the Irish were adamantly opposed to helping the British since they would not recognize Irish independence.
