I do math a little different so bare with me :)

104(total) - 24(8 for 2nd and 16 for 1st) = 80

80/3 = 26.6

if I did it right.

3rd place will receive $26.6
2nd will receive 26.6 + 8 = $34.6
and 1st will take 26.6 + 16 = $42.6

A 2-column table with 8 rows. The first column is labeled x with entries negative 3, negative 2, negative 1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. The
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

Option B.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given table of values is

x         f(x)

-3       -2

-2        0

-1         2

0         2

1          0

2        -8

3        -10

4        -20

We need to find the interval for which the function f(x) is positive.

From the given table it is clear that the value of function f(x) is negative before -2 and after 1.

The function positive between x=-2 and x=1. So, we can conclude that the function f(x) is positive for the interval (-2,1).

Therefore, he correct option is B.

Can someone help me with question 3
djyliett [7]

2. Alana needs to sell 52 boxes of cookies:

She sold 7 boxes to her aunt

She sold 2 boxes to her mother

She sold 15 boxes to her neighbor

you add 7+2+15 = 24 boxes of cookies that she sold

We need to find out how many more boxes of cookies she needs to sell-

We take the 24 boxes she sold and subtract from 52 boxes that she needs to sell.

24 - 52 = 30

The answer is 30, she needs to sell 30 more boxes.

4. Jamila spent $33.00 and Akiko spent $ 42.00

Jamila  had 4 times as much money left as Akiko. How much money did each of them have in the beginning?

Since Akiko spent the highest amount- you will have to go with the higher amount to find the answer

4 x $42.00 = $168.00

They both in the beginning had $168.00

I hope this helps.

Identify the pattern and find the next number in the pattern. 0.8, 3.2 12.851.2
Savatey [412]
For this case we have the following sequence:
 0.8
 3.2
 12.8
 51.2
 This sequence can be written as:
 0.8 = 0.2 * 4 = 0.2 * 4 ^ 1
 3.2 = 0.2 * 16 = 0.2 * 4 ^ 2
 12.8 = 0.2 * 64 = 0.2 * 4 ^ 3
 51.2 = 0.2 * 256 = 0.2 * 4 ^ 4
 Therefore, we have that the generic expression for this case is:
 an = 0.2 * 4 ^ n
 Then, the next number is then:
 a5 = 0.2 * 4 ^ 5 = 0.2 * 1024 = 204.8
 answer
 the next number in the pattern is 204.8
