In the case below, the original source material is given along with a sample of student work. Determine the type of plagiarism.O

riginal Source MaterialWhen instructors are creating discussion board activities for online courses, at least two questions must be answered. First, what is the objective of the discussions? Different objectives might be to create a "social presence" among students so that they do not feel isolated, to ask questions regarding assignments or topics, or to determine if students understand a topic by having them analyze and evaluate contextual situations. Based on the response to this question, different rules might be implemented to focus on the quality of the interaction more so than the quantity. The second question is, how important is online discussions in comparison to the other activities that students will perform? This question alludes to the amount of participation that instructors expect from students in online discussions along with the other required activities for the course. If a small percentage of student effort is designated for class participation, our results show that it can affect the quality and quantity of interactions.References:Moore, J. L., & Marra, R. M. (2005) A comparative analysis of online discussion participation protocols. Journal of Research on Technology in Education, 38(2), 191-212.Student VersionAccording to Moore and Marra's (2005) case study, which observed two online courses, students in the first course implemented a constructive argumentation approach while students in second course had less structure for their postings. As they stated, when instructors create online discussion board activities, they must answer at least two questions. These questions are: "What is the objective of the discussions?" And "How important are online discussions in comparison to the other activities that students will perform?" According to their findings, the discussion activities that were designed based on the answers to these questions can influence the quality and quantity of interactions (Moore & Marra, 2005)References:Moore, J. The answer is This is not plagiarism.

Plagiarism is to use someone else's text without attribution, whether intentional or not. In this case, the student cited the original source for his text, and the transcriptions used are quoted between quotation marks to indicate they were taken from the original text.

The Federalist Papers were authored by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. They are a series of letters to the edit
andrezito [222]

Answer:

The Federalist Papers are a collection of 85 articles in support of the ratification of the Constitution of the United States.

The Federalist Papers were published from October 1787 to August 1788 in the New York newspapers The Independent Journal and The New York Packet. A collection of all articles entitled “Federalist” was published in 1788. They are considered not only the most valuable source of interpretation of the Constitution (in the collection the meaning of the provisions of the Constitution is explained by its authors), but also an outstanding philosophical and political work defending federalism as the best political system for a nation.

In the summer of 1787, the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia developed the text of the Constitution, after which its ratification was required by the state legislatures. The mood among the deputies of the latter was mixed. Opponents of the Constitution openly called for not accepting it. Then, in the fall of 1787, Alexander Hamilton published in the newspaper the first of the articles of the Federalist Papers. Later, with the participation of Madison and Jay, as many as 85 articles were published, although it was originally planned to write 25. The purpose of the articles was to convince the New York State community of the need to adopt the Constitution and thus create a single state from the confederation of independent colonies. The published articles had a wide public outcry, and as a result, on July 27, 1788, the New York Convention ratified the Constitution with an advantage of three votes.

Question 46 (2 points)
ollegr [7]

Answer:

Option C. To enhance memory and ensure maximum retention, one should focus on the meaning of the information and relate it to what one knows.

Explanation:

According to the levels-of-processing theory, recall depends on the degree to which information is initially processed, hence to enhance memory and ensure maximum retention, one should focus on the meaning of the information and relate it to what one knows. The theory, identified by psychologists Fergus Craig, and Robert Lockhart in 1972, states that deeper levels of analysis produces longer term memories, while a more superficial level of analysis will most likely produce a short-term memory. This is why, they state, when trying to memorize something it is always important to focus on understanding the meaning of it and not to use repetition or visualization methods.
