You are designing a network for a client. As part of the design you need setup a Site to Site VPN solution to a Branch office. T

he branch office will get its internet connectivity from the main office. That is to say the main office will have the ISP connection and the branch office will get there Internet traffic through that link. The branch office has local printers and servers that users will need to have connectivity to. How do you need to set up the site-to-site VPN?
A. The branch office needs to configured as a split tunnel to allow local connectivity and internet connectivity
B. The branch office needs to be configured to send all traffic down the VPN tunnel and the main office needs to route the traffic back that needs local connectivity… i.e. the branch’s local printers and servers
C. The branch office needs to route local IP traffic locally, directly route internet traffic to the internet and not down the VPN tunnel, and route the main office’s traffic down the VPN tunnel

Answer:

The branch office needs to configured as a split tunnel to allow local connectivity and internet connectivity

Explanation:

Split tunneling is a computer networking concept which allows a network terminal to access different network domains or subnets like a public network  and a local network at the same time so that the networked system can access local as well as remote locations without changing the overall network configuration.
