How did the GI Bill along with the creation of suburban communities contribute to the segregation of whites and minorities?

Answer:

The GI Bill was intended to help veterans get on their feet to get an education and a job. Although this sounds good in theory (it is still in act today) this led to the segregation of whites and minorities as majority of the veterans were white males. These veterans would go on to get degrees that would earn them higher wages further dividing the wage gap between whites and minorities.
