Answer:

The sentence in passive voice is actually letter B:

<u>She was born in 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts, to a very prominent family.</u>

Explanation:

While in the active voice the subject of the sentence is the one performing the action, in the passive voice the subject is the one receiving the action. In other words, in the passive voice, the action is performed by an agent who is not the subject.

Sentences in the passive voice always have some form of the verb to be accompanying the past participle of the main verb. There may be other auxiliary verbs as well, it all depends on the tense we are using. Check the examples below:

- <u>Pamela wrote this play </u>when she was only 15. --> Active voice. The subject, Pamela, performed the action of writing the play.

- <u>This play was written by Pamela</u> when she was only 15. --> Passive voice. The play receives the action, even though it is the subject. The performer is still Pamela.

<u>It may come as a surprise to some people, but the expression </u><u>"to be born"</u><u> is always in the</u><u> passive voice</u><u>. </u><u>"Born" is the past participle of the verb to bear,</u><u> which means to have/give birth to a child. </u><u>For a person to be born, someone else had to bear them.</u><u> Therefore, in the sentence "She was born in 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts, to a very prominent family," passive voice is being used. The subject "she" is not the agent of the verb to bear, but its receiver.</u>

Answer:

I don't think. People usually only wear masks when mandatory. And if its mandatory then other people will be wearing masks to, and no one has the right to bully you about it if they are wearing a mask as well. Although some people might bully you about what is on your mask, or what it looks like.

Discuss the use of the hands in public reading or speaking
Sergio039 [100]

[] Answer []

\boxed{Using \ hands \ helps \ explain \ the \ speech}

[] Explanation []

When public reading or speaking, there are a lot of do's and dont's when using your hands. If you use your hands in the correct way, you can guide your speech and catch your audience's attention.

Using your hands to speak or tell a story helps guide your speech. When telling about how big something was, you might use your hands to gesture or create something big. When describing something tiny, you will use your hands for the same thing.

Using your hands also helps you out in a number of ways. It helps prevent monotone. Monotone is when your voice does not contain any pitch or fluctuation, and you sound like robot. When using your hands, your voice will move the way your hands move. When your hands are by your side and flat, your voice might get flat. When you gesture to something big, your voice may get louder and have more depth.
