Answer:

In the Roman Republic, senators were elected every six years.

Explanation:

The Roman Republic was ruled by the Senate, consisting of a group of senior citizens. Each year, the Senate elected two consuls to rule Rome. The Senate met to discuss how Rome was conducted and to offer suggestions to the consuls, who were the most powerful people in Rome. The Senate had a veto right.   Each elected senator lasted 6 years in office.

The senators abolished the monarchy by plotting against Tarquinius and managed to centralize the power in the newly formed republic. This was achieved by the inclusion of senators who were not members of the high-class families, but who deserved seats in the senate. They received the name patres minorum gentium, and were equal in rights with the old senators.

One criticism of the ecological footprint methodology is that it ignores human population growth. If this criticism is correct,
melamori03 [73]

Answer:

There is no cause for concern because human population growth is not correlated with the global ecological footprint.

Explanation:

The methodology of the ecological footprint is very wrong in that that it ignores the growth of the human population. The human population is not static in its numbers, and over the past century it increased significantly. Despite the slower growth nowadays, the population is still going up, and each individual should be taken into consideration for the ecological footprint because everyone has influence over it. If this is totally ignored, than the results and projections will be very misguiding and wrong, so it is an issue that has to be addressed so that the problem can be solved on the basis on correct and reliable data.
