Due to the colonist and such leaving from a tyrant ruled nation. They wanted to make sure the same wouldn't happen over here, therefor they gave the President power. However it would go through some people and such. For example President Trump signed a bill, the travel ban. Yet in around 1 to 2 days, the Judicial Branch found it unconstitutional. The Albany Plan of Union was meant to unite the thirteen colonies into a union with a federal government. It was the predecessor of the Articles of Confederation. It was meant to address the issues of taxing and protection of colonies. It wasn't well received since the colonists were still afraid of a central taxing institution and were on the verge of a war.
