How did the black codes impact the lives of the freedmen ?
zysi [14]

Hello!

First, I would review what the freedmen and the black codes are.

Freedmen - The freedmen are the group of slaves that were released from their previous masters, the freed slaves.

Black Codes - The black codes were a set of rules that applied to black people, passed back in the slave era. They included rules that restricted the ownership of property, relationships with white women, etc.

These therefore impacted the lives of the freedmen, as it restricted their actions.

The rules caused them to have to watch what they were doing in public spaces, or else there would be bad consequences (If you want to further look into the bad consequences, the story of Emmett Till is an example)

Hope this helped!

Which amendment protects Americans the most? Explain in 10 full sentences. HELP I NEED TO TURN THIS IN NOW
Deffense [45]

Answer:

id say the religion one

Explanation:

I think the 1st amendment helps the most because it gives people the right to follow any religion. It also protects americans from what used to happen to slaves/prisoners. So i feel it is important to be able to choose what religion you follow. This also protects others from people being like CATHLIC IS TRUE. NO CHRISTIANITY IS etc. this is very important so you dont get pressurd into something you dont want to do. this is why i feel the 1st ammendment protects american the most.

What did Gilded Age reformers have in common with Jackson Era?
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Gilded Age and Jackson Era reformers shared many commonalities. They found for the rights of the common man, promoted democratic government. fought against monied interests, expanded access to the voting franchise, championed reforms in public life. One of the major differences between the two eras was that Gilded Age reformers were more concerned about conditions in the newly formed urban cities than in rural communities. Jacksonians promoted reformers n the new rural areas of the South and West in the 1830's. Gilded Age reformers represented the increasing importance of the city as the epicenter of American ethnic and industrial life as opposed to the agricultural ways of life that predominated in the Jacksonian period.

How were the English motivations for colonization in North America different from those of the Spanish further south?
sweet [91]

The correct answer is D.

Both Spanish and English, as Christians, shared the aim of evangelizing the natives and also the aim of enriching themselves using the opportunities that new world discovered could offer, but through a different approach.

The English saw colonization as a manner of expanding existing enterprises and establish new profitable businesses overseas. An evidence is that the first English colony founded in 1607 in North American territory was Jamestown, in current Virginia. The founder was London Company, an English private enterprise, which also sent funding to the Plymouth colony founded in 1620. The English focused on exploiting the business opportunities in American land, although they also conducted trade.

On the other hand, the Spanish sought to enrich the Empire, by establishing a prosperous trading economy and there only some farming activities in a few Western regions.
