One of the major reasons why farmers had faced starvation was because the spent most of the time farming tobacco. in addition, Indians were very hostile,a problem that was resolved by increasing numbers of settlers and living together.
The medieval theories are far different than the theories in the time of the Scientific Revolution but the relationship between the two was the way of providing reasoning.

Scientific Revolution is the era of the 16th and 17th centuries which brings about a drastic change in scientific thoughts. This era has replaced the greek views with new emerged scientific view.
