This is due to the fact of the large range of the magnetosphere, the magnetic field of the earth. It can only be caused by metal moving in currents. It is strong enough to point compasses in the right direction, but not enough to stick frying pans to the floor, unfortunately.

Answer:

The geologists think that earth's core mostly contain iron because earth has a powerful magnetic field which is because of the molten iron in the core. The constant movement of molten iron in the core causes an electrical current inside the planet which results into the generation of magnetic field which reaches far out into the space. This magnetic field also helps to shield the people living in this planet from the harmful solar radiations.

Briefly compare and contrast the two disciplines, geography and geology
jarptica [38.1K]

The main difference between geography and geology is that geography is mostly dealing with the physical overall shapes of the land. Geology is a science that is interested in how the land got into the shape it did.

Geology is mostly about what the ground is made up of from a natural perspective. What kind of rocks it contains and how those rocks or layers of rocks got there.

Geography is mostly dealing with mapping the extent of landforms, how far rivers are, how long mountain ranges are, how long the coast line is. This is often from the perspective of people or culture.

3. What happens and what results from an Earth's precession?
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

Explanation:

The earth rotates on its own axis. When the rotational axis of the earth changes, it leads to precession. Earth's precession is a common phenomenon that has been observed by astronomers for a long time. The effect of changing axis of rotation would be the amount of solar radiation that would be received at any point on the earth.
