Two quadratic functions are shown:

To find the minimum value of function 1, we need to find the vertex. The formula for the x-coordinate of the vertex is -b/2a, which is -1 in this equation. However, to find minimum and maximum values, we need to look at the y-coordinate. f(-1) is 4, which we know is a minimum (rather than a maximum), because the leading coefficient is positive -- so the parabola opens upwards. So, the minimum value of f(x) is 4, and the coordinate is (-1, 4).

From the table, the minimum value of g(x) is 3, and the coordinate is (0, 3).

Therefore, function 2 has the lowest minimum value, with coordinates (0, 3).

What is the value of b for the following circle in general form?
AlekseyPX

The equation of a circle:

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

(h, k) - center

r - radius

Look at the picture. We have

center: (1, -2) → h = 1, k = -2

radius: r = 3

Substitute:

(x-1)^2+(y-(-2))^2=3^2\\\\(x-1)^2+(y+2)^2=9\ \ \ |\text{use}\ (a\pm b)^2=a^2\pm2ab+b^2\\\\x^2-2(x)(1)+1^2+y^2+2(y)(2)+2^2=9\\\\x^2-2x+1+y^2+4y+4=9\ \ \ |\text{use commutative property}\\\\x^2+y^2-2x+4y+5=9\ \ \ \ |-9\\\\x^2+y^2-2x+4y-4=0\\\\Answer:\ a=-2,\ b=4,\ c=-4

I need help I tried to do this question with one C and with two C
OverLord2011 [107]

There are two c's. You must pay attention to capitalization, there's a lowercase c and an uppercase C which represent two different variables. Also, the W is capitalized which could make your answer incorrect if you don't use the same notation.

Solving for small c..

C = \frac{Wtc}{1,000}   \\\\ 1,000C = Wtc \\\\\frac{1,000C}{Wt}= c

So it's the answer shown in the picture, but it  should be a capital W instead of a lowercase w.

NEED HELP ASAP!!! WILL MARK BRAINLIEST!!!!!!
Svetach [21]

Step-by-step explanation:

3×3=9. 3 faces so 9×3=27

10×3=30. 4 faces so 30×4=120

6×3=18. 2 faces so 18×2= 36

15×3=45. 3 faces so 45×3= 135

120+135=255

36+27=63

255+63=318

answer =318
