vik wrote the equation 470 h equals 3,008 where h is the number of hours it took a plane flying at a constant speed of 470 miles
Hunter-Best [27]
As with any linear equation of this sort, divide by the coefficient of the variable.
.. 470 h = 3008
.. (470 h)/470 = 3008/470
.. h = 3008/470 = 6.4

Explain how you determine an equation for a line using a table of input/output values.
Lubov Fominskaja [6]
Example :

            x               y
            1               3
            2               6
            3               9
            4               12

first thing u do is pick any 2 points (x,y) from ur table

(1,3) and (2,6)
now we sub those into the slope formula (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) to find the slope
(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
(1,3)....x1 = 1 and y1 = 3
(2,6)...x2 = 2 and y2 = 6
sub
slope = (6 - 3) / (2 - 1) = 3/1 = 3

now we use slope intercept formula y = mx + b
y = mx + b
slope(m) = 3
use any point off ur table...(1,3)...x = 1 and y = 3
now we sub and find b, the y int
3 = 3(1) + b
3 = 3 + b
3 - 3 = b
0 = b

so ur equation is : y = 3x + 0....which can be written as y = 3x...and if u sub any of ur points into this equation, they should make the equation true....if they dont, then it is not correct

and if u need it in standard form..
y = 3x
-3x + y = 0
3x - y = 0 ...this is standard form

Answer:

-11(-12)=132

Step-by-step explanation:

First divide 132 by negative 11 and get -12.

Then you connect -12 into the equation by using paraenthisies so its not a mess.

Last check your answer. -11 times -12 is equal to positive 132.

An object is moving at a speed of 7 feet per miute, Express this speed in meters per
Delicious77 [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

if I understand correctly, then it moves at 7 feet per minute.

and we need this in meters per second.

one thing we all know, right ?

there are 60 seconds in 1 minute.

so, in other words it is moving at 7 ft / 60 seconds.

so, that is how far in 1 second ?

7/60 ft / 1 second.

now for the second part : meters.

1 ft = 0.3048 meters

7 ft = 2.1336 meters

7/60 ft = 2.1336/60 = 0.03556 meters

so, the object moves at 0.03556 m/s ≈ 0.04 m/s
