Answer:

a. 9.04%

b. 4.96% approx.

c. 10%

Explanation:

a. As per dividend growth model,

Required rate of return = \frac{D_{1} }{P_{0} } \ +\ g

wherein, D_{1} = Next year expected dividend

               P_{0} =  Current market price of a share as on today

               g = Annual growth rate in dividend ( in percentage)

               r = Rate of return or cost of equity

Hence, required rate of return (r) = \frac{1.69}{24} \ +\ .02   = 9.04%

b.  R = 12%

    P_{0} = $24

    D_{1} = $1.69

Then, using the above formula, we have,

.12 = \frac{1.69}{24} \ +\ g

⇒ g = 4.96 % approx

c. g = 3%

   Retention ratio (b) = 30%

   Hence dividend payout ratio = 1 - 30 = 70%

   g = b × r

   .03 = .3 × r

⇒ r = 0.1 or 10%

Hence, rate of return earned by the firm on its's new investment is 10%.

Answer:

Should not be concerned

Explanation:

In the scenario being described, it can be said that the homeowner should not be concerned. That is because even though she did discriminate against the individual, Single-family homes rented without the use of a real estate agent or advertising are exempt from the federal Fair Housing Act. This holds true as long as the owner of the property does not own more than three homes at any given time. Therefore since there was no real estate agent, the man can't sue.

Suppose the downward sloping labor demand curve shifts rightward in a labor market with a single employer (monopsony). What happ
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

  • Equilibrium wage increase
  • Level of employment increase

Explanation:

A shift rightward in the labor market of a single employer would imply that the employer wants more labor. They will therefore increase the wages that they are paying their labor to entice more labor and the level of employment in the industry will increase as the employer hires more people.

Graphically speaking, when the labor demand curve shifts right, it will intersect with the labor supply curve at a higher equilibrium wage. The quantity of labor will also increase as it goes to a new equilibrium point.

--------------------------------

interest expense      200 debit

             interest payable     200 credit

--------------------------------

account receivable      2,400 debit

          service revenue       2,400 credit

Explanation:

we recognize the wages expense for the current period and the liability that arise from that.

interest: principal x rate x time

time and rate should be in the same metric so we express the time in portion of a year.

From July 1st to July 31th a month has past so 1/12 of a year:

20,000 x 12% x 1/12  = 200

this will be the accrued interest for the period

we must record service revenue. As it is not collected it goes int oaccount receivable
