you divide by decimals like this.

Say you have an equation like this 6.85 divided by .5

Well what you want to do is this. you need to set it up first so take the .5 and put in on the left side of your division

Like this  ______

            5 | 6.85                 

Now what you would do is move decimal point to the left to get rid of it, cause you don't need that anymore.

And now that you have moved you decimal, you will have to move the other one as well in the same direction. so now it reads 68.5/ by 5

So now you move you decimal up on top of your division problem.

5| 68.5              now you divide like normal. 5 times what is close to 68?5*13 =65

    65

68-65=3 is left over now bring down your 5 and what times 5 equals 35. well that would be 7. so your answer is 13.7
