The Nationalist Party was more popular in the cities in China than in the countryside of China because there are many wealthy people who supported the Nationalist Party and they are mostly concentrated in the cities. The Nationalist Party which is also known as Kuomintang is a party that governed part or all of China from 1928 to 1949. This party ruled Taiwan subsequently under Chiang Kai-shek.
