Natural gas as a fuel is becoming more common because it is a cleaner fossil fuel. The amounts of greenhouse gases emitted from the burning of natural gases are less than that of coal and petroleum products. Also, energy production from the natural gas does not produce a significant amount of ash and other types of byproducts that pollute the air and water. For this reason, natural gas is being more widely used as an energy source.
