In his book, "Crazy For The Storm" , Norman Jr. related to us his relationship with his father, Norman Ollestad Sr. and his survival of the Cessna 172 crash.
Norman Jr. was a survivor from the crash which took in the San Gabriel Mountains. He was 11 years old when the crash occurred and had to trudge two miles to safety through waist-deep snow.
In that book, Norman Jr., truly gave us his relationship with his father right before the crash.
