First, you want to even out each side.
11 = 12 - q
You need to inverse -q to +q and add to both sides to get
11 + q = 12
Now you need to do the oppisite of add to 11 which is subtract it from both sides.
q = 12 - 11
or
q = 1

Soccer : (12.3 + 13.2 + 12.5 + 11.3 + 14.4) / 5 = 63.7 / 5 = 12.74
track : (12.3 + 11.2 + 11.7 + 12.2 + 13.7) / 5 = 61.1 / 5 = 12.22

difference is : 12.74 - 12.22 = 0.52 <=

An amusement park charges admission plus a fee for each ride. Admission plus 2 rides costs $10. Admission plus five rides costs
LenaWriter [7]

Answer:

The charge for admission is $6 and the charge for each ride is $2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> the charge for admission

y ----> the charge for each ride

we have that

x+2y=10 -----> equation A

x+5y=16 -----> equation B

Solve the system by elimination

Subtract equation B from equation A

x+2y=10\\-(x+5y)=-16\\---------\\2y-5y=10-16\\-3y=-6\\y=2

Find the value of x

substitute the value of y in any equation

x+2(2)=10

x+4=10

x=10-4

x=6

therefore

The charge for admission is $6 and the charge for each ride is $2

Shark Inc. has determined that demand for its newest netbook model is given by lnq−3lnp+0.004p=7ln⁡q−3ln⁡p+0.004p=7, where q is
olga2289 [7]
  <span>a) Differentiate both sides of lnq − 3lnp + 0.003p=7 with respect to p, keeping in mind that q is a function of p and so using the Chain Rule to differentiate any functions of q:

(1/q)(dq/dp) − 3/p + 0.003 = 0
dq/dp = (3/p − 0.003)q.

So E(p) = dq/dp (p/q) = (3/p − 0.003)(q)(p/q) = (3/p − 0.003)p = 3 − 0.003p.

b) The revenue is pq.
Note that (d/dp) of pq = q + p dq/dp = q[1 + dq/dp (p/q)] = q(1 + E(p)), which is zero when E(p) = −1. Therefore, to maximize revenue, set E(p) = −1:

3 − 0.003p = −1
0.003p = 4
p = 4/0.003 = 4000/3 = 1333.33</span>
